The academic system used by Malino Elememtary School follows the curriculum prescribed by the Department of Education for all Philippine public schools. We focus on the following areas of learning in order to holistically develop the skills, talents, and capacities of our students:
- Life skills
Our institution believes that constant exposure to these subjects will promote our students’ love of learning and nurture a lifelong endeavor to become productive and responsible members of the community.
Malino Elementary School utilizes written and performance-based tests to track and assess our students’ academic progress. This method allows the school to determine if the students are achieving the developmental milestones appropriate for their age and grade. The scores from these tests are quantified in a quarterly basis to determine the students’ overall improvement.
Selection of Honors
Our school recognizes and encourages our students’ exemplary academic performance. Following DepEd Order No. 36, s. 2016, Malino Elementary School awards students who reach the following general averages:
- 98-100 – With Highest Honors
- 95-97 – With High Honors
- 90-94 – With Honors
In addition to academic performance, the school also acknowledges achievements in the field of sports, performing arts, and civic activities.
Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular Program
Malino Elementary firmly believes that a child’s education should go beyond the walls of the classroom. As such, we encourage our students to participate in events, programs, and activities recognized by the institution and the Department of Education.
