Malino Elementary School recently received an assistance package from leading engineering product distributor RS Components to ensure the continued operations of its website which was launched several months ago.
The website, which provides the general public with information about the school and its programs, was developed to provide Malino Elementary School with an official, professional and self-hosted presence on the Internet. However, resources had to be secured in order to ensure that the website would continue to operate in the foreseeable future.
On top of the list of necessary resources were web hosting and domain name registration which needed to be renewed annually. Currently, public schools in the Philippines do not have budget allocations for such expenses.
RS Components saw the opportunity to lend a helping hand. Under the company’s corporate social responsibility program, it provided technical and logistical support which ensured that the school’s website would stay up and running for the next few years.
“We are elated to know that there are entities such as RS Components who value the initiative of modernizing education in the Philippines as much as we do,” said Mr. Avijel Barro, Principal at Malino Elementary School. “The launch of our website was a major step in our journey as an educational institutions and it is such a relief to know that it will remain active online for the next few years.”
In the future, the Malino Elementary School website may add features that would enhance its ability to aid in delivering interactive learning experiences.
